How It Was Built
Building a living mansion
The design and tools behind Mosferatu.
01 / Perspective
One room. Two perspectives.
Plan your approach from above, then dive into the same room through the eyes of a mosquito. Both views share one 3D scene in Godot, keeping the inhabitants and their movements continuous.

02 / The mansion
A house shaped by a seed.
Rooms, furnishings, perches, and inhabitant routines come together around a run’s seed. Reusable pieces create a house with different paths through it, while the descent gives each run its direction.
03 / Production
From concept to game.
Mosferatu is built in Godot with GDScript. Concept artwork, Meshy-generated models, and custom tools form an asset pipeline shaped by selection, cleanup, and repeated testing in the game.
The art archive will explore individual creatures, objects, and rooms in more detail.
04 / Sound & rhythm
Listen before you feed.
Breath and heat help the mosquito find its way. During feeding, the host’s heartbeat sets the rhythm: each pulse offers more blood, and another reason to leave before the house notices.
